I like the multi-armed anatomy concept of this, but her lowest set of arms looks a little out of place way down there. Personally, I think they'd look better attached adjacent to the other sets. You ought to try this look with your mermaid!

Now that I look at the pic again, I think your right, those bottom arms always looked a bit strange...
